Volunteers: We Need You!

Board of Directors

We're looking for volunteers from our community to serve a three year term on the Board of Directors. Click here for more information and to fill out the application.

Ambassador

The KidZKount volunteer program is designed to expand the range of volunteers involved in the program. As a volunteer you will be involved in different community and fundraising events.

Policy Council

All parents that have children in the program are encouraged to volunteer on the Policy Council, which must be made up of at least 51% of our parents in the center.

In-Kind

Since only 80% of the program budget is Federal funds, the additional 20% must be raised locally in the form of volunteer time (in kind) and donations.

We need volunteers from the community to serve on the Policy Council and Board. We also have volunteers in the classroom, baking cookies, and fund raising. Contributions and donations of all kinds are accepted and used to help our families in Placer and Nevada counties.

KidZKount: Placer Community Action Council, Inc., has provided preschool to qualified children through the Federal Head Start Program in Placer and Nevada Counties since 1965. With funds raised through our annual golf tournament and other activities, KidZKount has been able to fund additional programs such as the nationally recognized “Daddy Read To Me” program, and medical endowments for children without adequate medical and/or dental coverage.

KidZKount has expanded its expertise with the introduction of a Summer Camp Program for Kindergarten Readiness, sponsored by First 5 Placer. Surveys indicate these services are of primary concern to parents in our community today. Our children are our future and we have a responsibility to insure this future. KidZKount is dedicated to playing its part and we are asking for your assistance in this endeavor.
